The Wichita Thunder collapsed in the third period on Friday night, falling to the Rapid City Rush 6-3 in Rapid City, S.D.
Leading 3-2 after two periods, Rapid City outscored Wichita 4-0 in the final period to seal the win.
After a scoreless first period, the Thunder tied the score at 1-1 in the second period on a goal from Jared Walker, then took the lead on back-to-back goals from Matt Robinson and Andrew Martens in the final two minutes of the second.
