Lance Galbraith and A.J. Gale scored 12 seconds apart in the third period to rally the Wichita Thunder to a 4-3 win over the Dayton Gems on Sunday in Dayton, Ohio.
With Dayton leading 3-2, Galbraith scored to the right of Gems' goaltender Jeff Jakaitis on a rebound during a Thunder power play at 16:47. With the teams back at even strength, Gale struck at 16:59, cashing in his own rebound in front of the crease.
Matt Robinson snapped a 1-1 tie 28 seconds into the third with a power play goal, but the Gems moved in front on goals from Matthew McCue at 5:21 and Mike Vaskivuo at 15:41.
The Thunder return to action on Tuesday, traveling to take on the Missouri Mavericks.
