Three-goal period thwarts Thunder

The Thunder let a two-goal lead slip away in the third period, losing to the Bloomington Prairie Thunder 5-4 on Saturday in Bloomington, Ill.

Matt Robinson gave the Thunder a 4-2 lead at 6:20 of the third period with a power-play goal. Bloomington responded with three goals in a five-minute stretch, capped by Jason Dale's goal at 13:34.

Robinson had a chance to tie the score when the Thunder was awarded a penalty shot with 1:04 left after Bloomington was called for delay of game, but goalie Marco Emond made the stop.
