Mississippi blanks Thunder

The Mississippi RiverKings ended the Thunder's four-game winning streak, beating Wichita 5-0 on Saturday in Southaven, Miss.

RiverKings winger Matt Summers scored a natural hat trick, and goalie Alexander Pechurskiy had 27 saves in the shutout.

It was the first time this season the Thunder has been shutout.

Summers scored a pair of second period goals separated by 1:50 that helped Mississippi take a 3-0 lead. He added his third goal midway through the third period.

Wichita was 0 for 7 on the power play.
