The Sioux City Bandits, the highest-scoring team in Champions Indoor Football, will be the Wichita Force’s opponent on Saturday night at Intrust Bank Arena.
Sioux City (2-1) averages a league-best 58 points and scored 73 in a 14-point victory over the previously-unbeaten Salina Bombers last Saturday. The Bandits are averaging 291.7 yards, which is also tops in the league.
The matchup pits the league’s most-efficient quarterback, Sioux City’s Charles Dowdell, against Force defensive back Kendrick Harper, who has three interceptions in three games.
Wichita, meanwhile, has won two straight games and has the league’s fourth-best defense in points (45.3) and seventh-best in yardage allowed (259.7).
The Force has the league’s fourth-best scoring offense (49.7 points) and Sioux City is second in scoring defense (41 points) and first in defensive yards (196).
