Wild falls short at Green Bay

The Wichita Wild scored two more touchdowns than the Green Bay Blizzard on Saturday night... but two fewer points.

The Wild converted extra points on just two of its six touchdowns and lost 40-38 in Green Bay, Wis. After failing to kick extra points on two of its four first-half touchdowns, the Wild resorted to going for two in the second half — and twice threw incomplete passes.

While the Wild's kicking game was causing problems, Green Bay's was scoring points. Tino Amancio made four field goals and was perfect on extra points.

Wild quarterback Dixie Wooten threw four touchdown passes and ran for the team's other two scores.

Wichita outgained Green Bay 262-152. The Wild defense forced three turnovers.
