* Olathe North won its eighth state title when it beat Heights 37-3 in the 2009 title game. It was Heights' first trip to the championship game.

* Smith leads an explosive Heights offense with 1,551 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns, including two passing. Joining Smith are Deshazer (1,073 rushing yards, 14 touchdowns), Reed (957 rushing, 13 touchdowns) and Marquel Moore (527 rushing, 9 touchdowns).

* Simmons and Saunders are a dangerous duo. Simmons has 1,375 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, while Saunders has 1,512 rushing yards, 19 touchdowns.

* Heights' defense is led by Trevor Wessel (92 tackles, 4 interceptions), Evan Wessel (91 tackles, 8 interceptions), Hunter Jameson (90 tackles), Brickhouse (81 tackles, 13 sacks) and Dominique Henderson (57 tackles, 9 sacks).

* Olathe North, which has two shutouts, is led defensively by Swartz, who has 130 tackles, six for loss. Sam Todd has 105 tackles, while Tanner Gentry has nine sacks.

* Heights cruised through its first 10 games, but struggled in its last two playoff games. The Falcons overcame a 28-0 deficit in a semifinal win over Dodge City.
