Zac Potter nabs one of Air Capital Classic’s four exemptions

Former Wichita State golfer Zac Potter was among four golfers to earn exemptions into the Air Capital Classic, announced Tuesday.

Potter, a Cheney native and Crestview Country Club member, headlines a group that also includes Josh Broadway, Will Zalatoris and Nick Rousey. Potter has been playing well of late and in April qualified for his first PGA Tour tournament, the Zurich Classic in New Orleans.

“I can’t wait for the experience of playing in front of family and friends on my home course in my hometown,” Potter said in a statement.

Broadaway, a Tour veteran, will be making his 10th appearance at the Air Capital Classic, which begins June 25.

This will be the first appearance for Zalatoris, a Wake Forest alum and the 2014 Texas State Amateur Champion.

Rousey won last week at the Tour All American Classic. He finished in the top 25 three times on the Tour in 2014.
