Wichita State led the Missouri Valley Conference in men’s basketball attendance.
It also led the American Athletic Conference schools in NCAA statistics released Tuesday.
The Shockers rank No. 34 nationally in average home attendance at 10,738. WSU played 17 home games, 16 at Koch Arena (capacity 10,506) and one at Intrust Bank Arena (15,004).
Illinois State is No. 90 at 5,943 with Bradley six spots back with an average attendance of 5,487. That’s all for the MVC, Wichita State’s old home, in the top 100.

Wichita State joined the AAC on July 1.
No. 42 Cincinnati leads the rest of the AAC at 9,865. No. 46 Memphis averaged 9,622 with No. 52 Connecticut at 8,505 and No. 76 SMU (6,899).
The American Athletic Conference ranked ninth at 5,744 for all schools with the Missouri Valley Conference next at 5,010.
The AAC’s tournament, held in Hartford, Conn, drew 5,811 fans on average. The MVC drew an average of 9,339 in St. Louis, helped by several thousand Shocker fans each game.
Kansas ranked No. 8 (16,395) with Kansas State No. 29 (11,477).
The Big 12’s average of 10,427 ranked fourth. The Big 10’s attendance of 12,235 led all 32 NCAA Division I conferences.
