Jessica Diamond scored 19 points to lead the Wichita State women's team to a 90-64 win over Texas-Arlington in the semifinals of the Beach Classic at Long Beach, Calif.
The Shockers scored 30 points off turnovers and shot a season-high 59.3 percent from the field in the win.
Diamond scored 14 points on 5-for-5 shooting in the first half. The Shockers dished out 20 assists in the win.
Haleigh Lankster added 12 points and two steals for WSU, and Alex Harden chipped in with 11 points and a team-leading seven rebounds.
The win gave WSU back-to-back victories for the first time this season and evened the Shockers' record at 5-5. The 90 points were the most scored by WSU since putting up 95 last year against Texas Pan-American.
The Shockers face host Long Beach State today in the tournament championship.
