WSU's Price won't play this season

Wichita State women's basketball player Michelle Price will sit out the season due to a respiratory condition, coach Jody Adams said Friday in a news release.

Price, a junior from Kingwood, Texas, must take medication for several months, the release said. She will petition for a medical hardship in order to retain two seasons of eligibility.

Price, a 6-foot-1 forward, started 22 games last season. She averaged 6.0 points and a team-leading 4.9 rebounds.

The Shockers play Pittsburg State in an exhibition game on Wednesday at Koch Arena.
