Wichita State was named winner of the Missouri Valley Conference All-Sports trophy this afternoon, the sixth time in the last eight years the Shockers have won the award.
WSU has won the award — given to the school that has the best average finish in all sports in which it completes — a Valley-best 18 times and this year won five conference championships — men's golf, women's tennis, women's indoor track, women's outdoor track and women's cross country.
The Shockers' average Valley finish was 2.733, ahead of Illinois State's 3.441.
