Wichita State got no help from Missouri State this weekend. Creighton swept the Bears to claim the Missouri Valley Conference title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. It is Creighton's second regular-season championship.
WSU opens play in the tournament at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday against seventh-seeded Evansville. The Shockers won two of three games against the Aces in April at Eck Stadium. The winner plays either third-seeded Illinois State or sixth-seeded Indiana State at 4 p.m., Wednesday. The loser plays at 9 a.m., Wednesday.
