WSU's Lankster earns MVC honors

Wichita State junior Haleigh Lankster was named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball second team.

Lankster, a guard from Tulsa, averages 12.9 points and 4.2 rebounds. She was also named to the All-Defensive team. She leads WSU with 55 steals.

Guard BreAnna Dawkins was named to the All-Freshman team. Dawkins, from Dallas, started 25 games and averages 6.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

WSU (16-13) plays Creighton (18-11) at 2:35 p.m., Friday in the quarterfinals of the MVC Tournament in St. Charles, Mo.
