The Wichita State women's team won its fourth straight game Thursday, beating Southern Illinois 69-46 in Carbondale, Ill.

The victory allowed Wichita State (15-13, 9-8 MVC) to wrap up the fifth seed in next week's Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.

WSU never trailed, racing to an 11-1 lead and never letting the Salukis recover. Jessica Diamond scored 10 points in the first half to help the Shockers build a 36-21 halftime edge. The lead grew to 29 points midway through the second half, and SIU never got closer than 19 the rest of the way.
