WSU women fall at Indiana State

The Wichita State let a seven-point halftime lead slid away, losing to Indiana State 65-57 on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.

WSU ended the first half with a 17-7 run and went into the locker room ahead 31-24. Jessica Diamond and Haleigh Lankster had six points apiece during the run in the final 6:24.

Indiana State pulled even 36-36 with 14:13 to play. The teams traded the lead four times before the Sycamores went ahead for good on a three-pointer by Anna Munn with 7:12 left. The lead grew to 15 late in the game before WSU (11-13, 5-8 MVC) scored nine the game's final 11 points.

Diamond finished with 15 points and Lankster added 12. Shannon Thomas scored 18 for Indiana State (12-11, 6-6), and the Sycamores outrebounded the Shockers 41-28.

No. 6 Texas A&M 81, Kansas 58 — Danielle Adams scored 26 of her school-record 40 points in the first half and No. 6 Texas A&M coasted to a win over Kansas in College Station, Texas.

Adams led the charge in a dominant first half, helping the Aggies build a 19-point halftime lead. The Jayhawks never threatened in the second half despite Adams slowing down a bit. She made 10 of her first 14 shots, then went 6 for 12 from the field in the second half.

Texas A&M (21-2, 9-1 Big 12) has won three straight heading into Monday's rematch at top-ranked Baylor.

Carolyn Davis had 16 points, but Kansas (16-9, 3-8) was hurt by a season-high 31 turnovers.
