Texas Tech: The Red Raiders bring their highest ranking since joining the Big 12 and are ranked for the first time since 2005. . . . Roberts grabbed a career-best 19 rebounds in an 80-70 win over TCU on Dec. 8, Tech's last game. G David Tairu came off the bench to score 14 points. He averages 11.1 and makes 64.3 percent of his three-pointers (9 of 14).... The Red Raiders aren't a great outside shooting team (33.6 percent from three). They prefer to drive and score closer to the basket. They are outscoring opponents at the line 158-123. . . . WSU leads the series 2-1. The teams last met in Wichita on Dec. 18, 1965, a 105-84 Shocker win. . . . Don't expect Bob Knight to show up to support his son. He has other plans for tonight, according to Texas Tech.

Wichita State: Durley grabbed 15 rebounds in his past two games, including a season-high nine against UMKC on Dec. 9. He totaled 24 rebounds in WSU's first eight games. "I've got to help my team," he said. "The first couple of games, it was more me making sure my guy doesn't get the rebound. It's more of a mental thing, just going and getting the ball.". . . WSU has out-rebounded all 10 opponents by an average margin of 8.3. In coach Gregg Marshall's two-plus seasons, the Shockers have out-rebounded 59 of 75 opponents.
