Former Wichita State runner Aliphine Tuliamuk won the USA Track and Field 20-kilometer race with a time of one hour, 5 minutes, 47 seconds in New Haven, Conn.
Emily Sisson finished second with a time of 1:06:03.
Tuliamuk told the USATF she considered the victory a good rebound after a disappointing performance in the U.S. Olympic Trials.
“Today was like a redemption for me,” she said. “I was so depressed after the Trials. I’m so glad it worked out the way it did, because I really did need to win this today.”
