Gorillas win MIAA title

John Brown scored five touchdowns — three receiving and two rushing — to lead No. 9 Pittsburg State to a 51-28 win over Missouri Southern as the Gorillas clinched their first MIAA title since 2004 on Saturday in Pittsburg. Washburn's loss to Central Missouri meant Pittsburg State wouldn't have to share the title with the Ichabods.
