Trio of seniors lead Kansas women to win

Seniors Monica Engelman, Angel Goodrich and Carolyn Davis combined to score 62 points to lift Kansas to a 81-71 win over No. 22 Oklahoma on Sunday in Lawrence.

Davis posted a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds, as did Goodrich with 17 points and 10 assists.

Engelman finished with 21 points, three assists and three steals.

Oklahoma’s Joanna McFarland, a Derby product, posted a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Aaryn Ellenberg led the Sooners with 21 points.

The win improved Kansas to 16-8, 7-6 in the Big 12. It was the Jayhawks’ first win over Oklahoma at home in 14 years.
