Five-star recruit DeAndre Daniels, the top unsigned prospect in the 2011 baskebtall class, did not announce a college decision on Thursday as expected.
Daniels was originally supposed to decide between Kansas, Texas and Oregon on Wednesday, but elected to put it off a day. Then Thursday also passed without a verdict from Daniels.
Daniels, a Los Angeles native who attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is a high-school teammate of three-star forward Jamari Traylor, who signed with KU on Wednesday, and Christian Garrett, a walk-on who joined the Jayhawks during the spring semester.
Daniels, at 6-foot-8 and 180 pounds, would be a tall No. 3 man or a thin No. 4 man for Kansas, which could use depth at each position. He'd also be KU's most high-profile freshman next year. The Jayhawks do not have a five-star recruit in their class.
