Ohio: The Bobcats are coming off a 78-75 win over Valparaiso on Tuesday in their second game of the iBN Sports Las Vegas Invitational.... Ohio is the preseason pick to win the Mid-American Conference and is led by point guard D.J. Cooper, who is averaging 15.5 points, 9.3 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game.... The Bobcats average 78.8 points per game and 7.8 3-point field goals made per game.... Whether it wins tonight or not, Ohio will play Santa Clara Saturday.
Kansas: Before taking on Arizona in the marquee Saturday night match-up, the Jayhawks will take on Ohio.... KU enters the game coming off an 81-41 blowout of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.... The Jayhawks haven't been challenged yet this season, but Ohio should be its stiffest opponent to date.... KU point guard Tyshawn Taylor, who leads the Big 12 with 7.5 assists per game, could have his hands full with Ohio's D.J. Cooper.... Last time out, three of KU's top four scorers came off the bench.
