Wyatt returns to KU staff

Kansas football coach Turner Gill has added another member to his staff in Southern Mississippi offensive coordinator Darrell Wyatt, according to

Wyatt, who coached the wide receivers at KU from 1997-2000 under Terry Allen, will likely assume that role again under Gill. Since his time at KU, Wyatt has established himself as one of the top recruiters in the Big 12 region. From 2002-05 as the wide receivers coach at Oklahoma, Wyatt plucked numerous talents from Texas, including current Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson.

Wyatt, a Kansas State graduate, will join offensive coordinator Chuck Long, defensive coordinator Carl Torbush, running backs coach Reggie Mitchell and tight ends/special teams coach Aaron Stamm on Gill's staff.

Gill has said he would like to officially announce his entire staff next week.
