K-State ranked No. 22 in preseason football poll

Kansas State is ranked 22nd in the Associated Press preseason college football poll released Saturday.

The Wildcats were 10-3 last season and finished No. 15 in the final AP poll.

Southern Cal, coming off a two-year bowl ban, is No. 1, followed by defending national champion Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma. Big 12 newcomer West Virginia is 11th, Texas is No. 15, Oklahoma State is No. 19, and TCU, another first-year Big 12 team, is No. 20.
