1 First-year coach Paul Rhoads has a long history with Bill Snyder. They have known each other since Rhoads was in high school.
2 Iowa State will be without Darius Reynolds, one of its better wide receivers. He reportedly broke his ankle in practice this week.
3 Averaging more than 207 yards per game on the ground this season, the Cyclones are the 21st-ranked rushing team in the country.
Austen Arnaud vs. Coffman. Both of these teams love to run the ball. But the quarterback that finds the most success through the air will have the advantage.

The Wildcats' offense has been fairly basic through four games, but that may change with more on the line against a conference opponent. That will play to Kansas State's favor, and with a decent offensive effort the Wildcats will improve on their 3-1 record at Arrowhead.
