Breakdown

Trinity returns six players from last season's mostly seven-man rotation. That team dominated the Central Plains League (10-3) thanks to the scoring efforts of Burns and Kessinger, who both averaged 10 points.

Point guard Billings (4 assists) will look to find a more post-ready player in Dohm, who put on weight in the offseason to contribute in the paint.

The maturation of Kempin on the wing gives Miller reason to believe his team be a threat again in the CPL.

Breakdown

Gunderson knows his team will be undersized against nearly every opponent this season, but plans on using his personnel to his advantage.

Guards Coleman and Manning will lead a team that finished 2-19 last season as it tries to adjust to the run-and-gun style of Gunderson. The Knights will try to spread the court and and push the tempo.

The team's success will depend on its ability to build up endurance with conditioning.
