N. Iowa completes unbeaten home mark

Northern Iowa center Jordan Eglseder returned from a three-game suspension to score 13 points, and No. 25 Northern Iowa beat Illinois State 61-55 on Saturday night to complete its first unbeaten season at home in 46 years.

Adam Koch added 12 points and a key late block for the Panthers, who also reached the 25-win mark for the first time.

Illinois State's Lloyd Phillips and Osiris Eldridge hit three-pointers to pull the Redbirds within 58-55 with 34.4 seconds left. But Koch swatted Dinma Odiakosa's layup try and Johnny Moran hit a pair of free throws with seven seconds left to help the Panthers hang on.

Indiana State 75, Missouri State 72, OT _ Harry Marshall drilled a three-pointer with one second left in overtime for Indiana State.

With game tied 69-69 and 16 seconds left, Indiana State's Rashad Reed hit a three-pointer. But 11 seconds later, Kyle Weems drained a three-pointer for Missouri State, setting the stage for Marshall's winner.

Evansville 56, Drake 53 — Denver Holmes' three-pointer at the buzzer lifted Evansville past Drake.

Holmes' basket from 28 feet gave Evansville its second straight win. The Purple Aces beat No. 25 Northern Iowa 55-54 at home on Tuesday. They will face Missouri State in the first round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament on Thursday in St. Louis.
