Chauncey, South beat Kapaun

Shauna Chauncey scored 23 points, and South hit 11 of 16 free throws in the fourth quarter Tuesday night to defeat Kapaun 51-45.

Jessa Molina added 14 points for South.

Molly McAuliffe led Kapaun with 17 points, and Katie Fevert added 10.

Back and forth game. Kapaun led 9-3 after 1st quarter, South had a good second quarter. About halfway through 3rd, South tied it and went on to win. South made 11 of 16 free throws in the 4th quarter.

Unbeaten Andover Central has won 19 straight. It plays Buhler on Friday in the regular-season finale.

Maize’s defense held Derby scoreless for a 12-minute span and forced 35 turnovers. Ten Maize players combined for 22 steals.
