K-State women dump Missouri

Kari Kincaid and Brittany Chambers each hit a pair of three-point shots to power a key stretch in Kansas State's 65-50 victory over Missouri on Wednesday in Columbia, Mo.

A basket by Ashley Sweat gave K-State a 43-41 lead with 12:11 left to play and started an 18-2 run for the Wildcats. Chambers scored eight points during the decisive surge, Kincaid had six and Sweat added four.

The lead never slipped below 14 in the final seven minutes.

K-State made 55.1 percent of its shots (27 of 49) and hit 10 of 16 three-point shots.

Chambers finished with a game-high 18 points. Taelor Karr added 15, and Sweat scored 13 for K-State (10-6, 2-0 Big 12).

Jessra Johnson led Missouri (10-5, 0-2) with 12 points.
