Iowa State scores impressive win over Bradley

Iowa State used a long layoff to revert back to the team that started the season on fire — not the one that stumbled earlier this month.

Marquis Gilstrap scored a season-high 25 points, and host Iowa State pounded Bradley 87-68 on Sunday in one of its most impressive wins of the season.

Craig Brackins added 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for the Cyclones (8-3), who used a pair of first-half runs to cruise to their second straight victory.

Iowa State opened the game with an 18-6 spurt, then went on a 26-4 run to jump ahead 44-16 late in the opening half. The Cyclones led by as many as 32 points midway through the second half before a late run by Bradley made the game appear much closer than it ever was.
