Kansas State and Kansas will play their 2010 football matchup on a Thursday night in order to be on national television.
The game, originally scheduled for Oct. 16, will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 14 in Lawrence. It will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
The Thursday game will be the second non-Saturday kickoff for both teams next season. Kansas is set to play at Southern Mississippi on Friday, Sept. 17, while Kansas State will face Nebraska at home on Thursday, Oct. 7. Both games will be televised by ESPN.
The last time the Jayhawks and Wildcats played on a Thursday night was in 1994, when K-State won 21-13 at Memorial Stadium. It was the Wildcats' first win in Lawrence since 1969.
