Few are aware of the old pagan ritual of skinny-dipping during drought-stricken times. Perhaps Rep. Kevin Yoder was performing this age-old ritual in the Sea of Galilee to bring rain to the parched Kansas prairie land.
Yoder should release a statement saying, “I thought it would get Kansas some national exposure.”
An anti-abortion Republican senatorial candidate says that cases of legitimate rape are rare and a woman’s body can prevent pregnancy. A Republican donor says women can prevent pregnancy by putting an aspirin between their knees. These guys sound like Taliban. What’s next? Stoning women?
Remember the last election where all of you ultra right-wing conservatives voted in the tea party candidates? Guess what? You are now reaping what you sowed. No government handouts for you or anyone else.
Could you envision President Reagan instructing his Justice Department to act like jackbooted thugs, as President Obama has?
Good going, Newsweek. Finally someone is seeing and beginning to print the truth about Obama.

It was the false atomic bomb ad that pushed out Barry Goldwater and blew Lyndon Johnson into office. It was Jimmy Carter’s Community Reinvestment Act that crashed our economy. It was Barack Obama’s embarrassing bowing and apologizing on foreign trips that was woeful, not Mitt Romney’s.
If the eight members of Hawker Beechcraft’s executive team get any bonuses whatsoever after bankrupting the company, wrecking the lives of its retirees and selling out to the Chinese, the people authorizing them will make Bernie Madoff look like a petty thief.
They have carved up Riverfest so badly that it is a joke. No raft races, no canoe races, lowering the fireworks, hiring second-rate bands and charging $15. This adds up to poor management. I see the end of Riverfest in a couple of years.
All the people screaming for more laws that stop former sex offenders from living anywhere or doing anything need to stop pretending that anything less than mandatory life imprisonment will be acceptable to them. Or execution. It’s obvious they don’t deserve better, right?
