Having dealt with the major state problems, including a 20-year-old United Nations document and Shariah law, now the Kansas Legislature has gone into extended session so that our “lawmakers” can deal with minor issues like the state budget – and finding a way to blame it all on the Democrats.
The president is acting like a wood tick: He attaches himself to your wallet and won’t let go.
Barack Obama is criticized for being a community organizer as if there is something wrong with that. It’s certainly much better than being a homophobic bully.
Although Obama is a great speaker, he lacks the character of one George W Bush. Bush wasn’t popular, but he didn’t blame the previous administration or the Democratic Party for his failures. And in retirement he remains silent, something I wish Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter would emulate.

BPI is closing its Kansas facility permanently. This is because ABC News put out a story that referred to a product that is 97 percent lean beef as “pink slime.” The only thing slimy was the reporting. I hope ABC is proud of costing these workers their jobs.
When is Wichita code enforcement going to start ticketing people who blow more than a minimal amount of grass clippings into the street and leave them? Why should the other taxpayers have to pay for the problems that are a result of the grass clippings washing into the storm drains?
Do we really need the government and insurance companies telling the doctors what to do and how to do it?
Does anyone believe that student loans for online degrees are actually going to make people better candidates for the job market? Kids and their parents need to take the free education our country offers seriously. Students should pursue a technical trade that is in demand, or go to a university and get a real degree.
Is anyone else sick and tired of the door-to-door salespeople? I googled one company and found out it had been linked to drugs, theft and other criminal behavior. Why doesn’t the attorney general do something about these parasites?
