Our irresponsible Congress has voted repeatedly to extend unemployment benefits. This pandering to those who do not work will stop only when we vote out the offending politicians, both Democratic and Republican.
The ones who should be on trial for murder are the people who sent Sgt. Robert Bales to do three tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
I would love to know what our president did to kill Osama bin Laden. Democrats keep thumping their chests over it, but neither party did this. It was a calculated military maneuver performed very admirably by our dedicated military and the wonderful Seal Team Six.

So the Wichita Transit system and Century II are heavily subsidized by taxes but need more. Yet our municipal golf system supports its own operations with no tax funding and City Council member Jeff Longwell wants to outsource it. Sounds fishy.
Why has it taken Wichita so long to acknowledge the state of our taxicab system? “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” starring John Candy and Steve Martin, both recognized and accurately portrayed the deplorable quality of the service back in 1987.
