For those not in la-la land, real is real. The economy is not improving, unemployment is not down, the war against militant Islam is not ended, and health care now needs to be declared unconstitutional. Ridding ourselves of President Obama is the first step.
Republicans need not fear being voted out of office. However, they should know that I’m out in the barn, looking for my pitchfork.
If the Republicans cared about the middle class and working people, they would not have played politics with the tax cuts. They want those who can least afford it to pay to protect those who can afford to pay more. They don’t really care about working people.
I’m not worried about the 1 percent. I’m scared to death of the 0.000001 percent – also known as the U.S. Congress.
I heard the Obamas’ Christmas vacation in Hawaii will cost taxpayers $4 million. I sure hope they have fun. We will be staying home and eating canned Spam.
Now that Obama has brought our troops out of Iraq, the stability of the government is having problems. Surprised?
It’s got to be getting bad when the Hollywood celebrities are slamming the current administration. I never thought that would happen.
Merry Christmas to Phill Kline for costing the taxpayers of Kansas to defend his pathetic violation of state law. The Koch brothers need to man up and pay his legal costs. Or let the Eastern conservative holy rollers keep him in money.
Go Wichita, which is the city’s convention and visitors bureau, receives 85 percent of its funding from taxpayers. Unfortunately, the Wichita City Council recently prevented a motion from moving forward that would have allowed us, the taxpayers, to review the bureau’s expenditures. Why would officials not want the taxpayers to know how their money is being spent?
Gambling casinos are dotting the landscape in recent years. Despite the hoopla about the jobs and state revenue these things provide, the real truth is they are money sinks, draining their greedy customers of funds that could be spent buying products that would otherwise aid our crumbling economy.
Who would want to live in China? There’s no freedom over there.
As great as it is that many people are getting help with paying off the gifts they put in layaway, I will never understand the mindset of some people. If your kids already have a few gifts, why buy more instead of buying food or paying off other bills? Oh, I forgot – my tax dollars can pay for that stuff with welfare.
Regarding women who wear strong perfume: Redneck guys should also be considerate of others around them when chewing tobacco and constantly spitting into a cup. Sitting near someone who chews for two hours at a basketball game is just disgusting, and it smells. Please consider others.
I lived in Wichita for nine years, praying that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers would play a concert. Now they are (April 26 at Intrust Bank Arena), and I moved away four years ago. I am coming back just for this. Yes, this band is worth it.
