House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said the unemployment insurance extension “would make a difference of 600,000 jobs to our economy.” How is this possible? We need her to explain in detail and in English, or retract the statement.
I should probably watch the debates. After all, one of those men will be the next president. OK, I shouldn’t eliminate Michele Bachmann from that. Unless I want to be realistic. And I do. So, one of those men will be the next president.
Half of the people complaining about President Obama are the same idiots who voted him to office. I hope next year, when the election comes around, they will make a better choice.
Three years ago, when the Republicans were in charge, they let the economy crash and created this problem. Why let them screw it up again?
Incredible — Kansas legislators’ retirement plan is based not on the 90 days they actually work for approximately $9,000, but as though they are working every day of the year. That means their benefits are calculated as though they are making $85,000. What will you bet that sweet deal doesn’t get changed, in spite of the unanimous vote of the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System study commission to do so?
God bless all those who remembered the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.
Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because the United States was blocking the sale of oil to Japan. Going to war for oil — sounds silly, doesn’t it?
I may even start shopping at Lowe’s again after it took a stand on the Muslim TV show. I think most Americans know about all they need to know about the “peaceful” Muslim religion.
If your son was good enough to play Division I basketball, would you want him to play for that bully of a coach Frank Martin at KSU, or a class act like Gregg Marshall at WSU or Bill Self at KU?
Unless we are extreme sports fanatics — you know, the ones who sit in front of the TV and watch any kind of sports available — most of us don’t subscribe to the ESPN channel that carries KU basketball games. I enjoy the games, being a retired old man, but I will not subscribe due to income. Wake up, KU, and put those games on a Kansas channel.
Tired of loud and constant commercials? Two words for you: streaming Netflix. And it’s cheaper than cable and satellite.
Ditto on the terrible rendition of a great state song, “Home on the Range.” If the Kansas Star Casino wants me to come there so it can take my money, it needs to have a new group record the song. The current recording is insulting.
The Greek language was one of the earliest in Christianity. Chi (X) and Rho (P) were used together for the spelling of Christ’s name — sometimes just the Chi. You will still see this alphabet used in churches. The use of X is not an attempt to deny Christ, as some of you have heard n your churches, but a historical holdover from the early days of the religion.
