According to CQ Roll Call, Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., has $1.4 million on hand for a 2016 campaign and raised $484,000 in the fourth quarter of 2014, though he has yet to announce his plans. That’s not much compared with the $8.1 million that Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., reportedly raised and spent to win re-election in November. But Moran’s war chest may give pause to any Kansas Republican considering a primary challenge to Moran, who is riding high in national party circles after having helped win the Senate during his 2014 chairmanship of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. – Rhonda Holman
