Child Advocacy Center nears campaign goal

Congratulations to the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County for meeting its $500,000 challenge grant with the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation. The center has now raised $5.25 million of the $6.5 million needed to renovate the former Lincoln Elementary School so it can house about 55 employees from eight agencies that work with children who have been abused and neglected. The center hopes to raise the remaining $1.25 million by March. To contribute to this worthy cause, call 316-660-9494 or e-mail center executive director Diana Schunn at dschunn@cacsckansas.org. – Phillip Brownlee
