Congratulations, corporate wealth — this past quarter was prosperous for you. When are you going to trickle-down that increase to those of us needing a job?

Why is it OK for celebrities to earn $20 million per film but wrong for CEOs who manage thousands of people to earn $10 million per year?

So glad the Presbyterian Church's decision made front-page news ("Eastminster decides to break from denomination," Oct. 30 Eagle). It is refreshing to see churches stepping up to do the right thing when it comes to social issues. The Bible is real and is God's word and directions on how to live our lives.

It's sad that Eastminster pulled out of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) over the gay issue. Do church members realize that this aligns them with Fred Phelps?

What so many parents don't understand is that the more they discipline their kids, the more the kids will rebel.

I recall being harassed by bullies in school during the '70s, but I hung in there. Most of those bullies wound up serving time in prison, and I served time in the Army and law enforcement.

The comment that K-State once again "suffered from premature elation" was great, but here is my response. KU fans: At least the Cats have hope. WSU fans: At least the Cats have a football team.
