The Veterans Day Parade is at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Wichita. Last year's parade was disappointing because of low turnout. If the parade were promoted a few days in advance, we would have better participation. Wichita is proud of its veterans and we wish to show our support. Please get the word out this year and every year.

Others have their cashiers yell at you as you come through their door. What are you supposed to do? Yell back?

Wichita grocery stores are increasing profits by selling lemons with a very long shelf life. But they are so green and hard that you cannot squeeze juice from them.

Any disrespectful kid who could not look away from his cellphone long enough to say "trick or treat" and "thank you" received no candy and got "the look" from me.

Some of us do not like the Halloween "holiday." Respect us, as we respect your observance of it.
