If the state would just estimate revenue of zero for each month, it would never underestimate the actual amount again. Problem solved.
Gov. Sam Brownback and Senate President Susan Wagle continue to blame everyone else for their failed policies for Kansas. All these two need is a mirror to truly find someone to blame.
The school district trying to save on air conditioning expenses is pound wise and penny foolish, particularly when people bring fans into the classroom.
The city blaming our shabby-looking parks on an extra-wet year is bogus. Dry summers see the same overgrown, knee-high weeds that get mowed maybe once a month. Privatizing park maintenance is not the answer.

Americans are fed up with a Congress that serves the needs of congressmen instead of the needs of the people. The time for term limits is long overdue.

Both presidential candidates are so flawed that it’s a great chance for our nation to formulate a third political party.
Smile at someone. Tell them hi. Open a door. If someone needs a hand up, lend it. Make America smile again. There is too much goodness here to let the politicians ruin it.
