Wichita weather: A pleasant Saturday before the temperatures and winds climb

The delightful weather continues for the Wichita area as Labor Day weekend arrives.

There will be a few clouds as the temperature climbs to the low 80s in Wichita, forecasters say. Winds out of the south and southeast will occasionally push into the double digits, gusting at times to nearly 20 mph.

Overnight lows will dip to the mid-60s under mostly clear skies before Sunday offers more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Highs will climb into the upper 80s, forecasters say, with stronger winds. South winds will be in the teens, with gusts pushing to nearly 30 mph.

Labor Day will feel more like summer than autumn, with sunny skies and highs in the low 90s. It’ll be breezy, too.

Tuesday looks to offer more 90s, forecasters say.
