A ridge of high pressure will give Wichita and the Sunflower State a few days to dry out a bit, starting on Thursday.
Highs should be in the low 80s over the next several days, forecasters say, with a mix of clouds and sunshine and variable winds staying mostly in single digits. Lows will dip into the upper 50s on Thursday night before recovering to the 60s and even low 70s as the holiday weekend stretches out.
Labor Day weekend should be pleasant, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 80s.
