Winter returns to the Wichita area on Wednesday, with temperatures feeling more like February and north winds that will make folks wince.
Highs will only be in the mid- to upper 40s — after several days in the upper 50s, 60s and even 70s — with north winds intensifying throughout the day, forecasters say. Gusts could approach 30 miles an hour by late afternoon.
Overnight lows will drop to the low 20s, forecasters say, and highs on Thursday won’t reach 40 in the Wichita area. But temperatures are expected to rebound into the 50s Friday and Saturday, with sunshine each day.
