Wichita’s waking up to a cold morning, with highs in the teens and a wind chill hovering around zero.
But conditions will improve notably as the day stretches out, with highs flirting with or even topping 40 under sunny skies, forecasters say. Winds will be light and variable, though predominantly out of the south.
Overnight lows will dip into the 20s before a dramatic warm-up begins on Friday. Highs could reach the upper 60s to low 70s on Friday and the 70s on Saturday, forecasters say. More 60s are expected Sunday and Monday.
