Wichita is already about as warm as it’ll get on this Wednesday, forecasters say.
Temperatures — and snow — will be falling later this afternoon as colder air pushes through the region. Readings in the low 30s as the sun rises will slide to the low 20s by the time the evening commute gets under way, forecasters say.
A dusting of snow is expected, too — perhaps a half-inch by the time it ends, forecasters say. Overnight lows may fall all the way into single digits.
Thursday will see temperatures rebound into the upper 30s to low 40s under sunny skies, and much warmer readings are projected Friday and through the weekend.
