Wichita weather on Monday: Wind chills below zero early, then highs in the 30s

Wind chills are below zero in Wichita as the work week begins — and Monday won’t warm up much, forecasters say.

Highs will be in the low to mid-30s under sunny skies, with south winds in the teens. Overnight lows will be in the mid-20s before Tuesday delivers a much warmer day.

Temperatures will jump to the mid-50s with partly cloudy skies, forecasters say. South winds will be in the teens, with gusts pushing into the mid-20s.

The roller coaster of temperatures will continue through the rest of the week, forecasters say, with highs in the mid-30s again on Wednesday and Thursday before another marked warm-up begins on Friday.
