The balmy winter interlude has ended for Wichita and the rest of the Sunflower State.
Much colder air has muscled its way into the region. Highs on Thursday will be in the low 50s in Wichita, forecasters say, only a few degrees warmer than the overnight low and more than 20 degrees lower than Wednesday’s high.
It’ll be windy, too, with north winds in the 20s and gusting to more than 30 miles an hour at times. Lows tonight will be in the mid-20s, forecasters say, and Friday will be mostly cloudy with a high in the mid-40s.
Rain and snow are expected over the weekend. Check forecasts regularly for snowfall accumulation totals.
