Wichita weather for Wednesday: Dry spell arrives

Courtesy of National Weather Service

A new month brings with it a new weather pattern for the Wichita area.

The region will have a chance to dry out a bit over the next several days, forecasters say. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon in the Wichita area, but otherwise it’ll be a partly sunny day with highs near 80. Winds will be light out of the east and northeast.

Thursday and the next several days to follow will feature similar conditions: mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 80s. Winds will be light and variable.

Forecasters say that pattern appears to be consistent through at least early next week.
