Highs should reach the upper 70s, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Winds will be out of the north-northwest at about 20 miles an hour, with gusts topping 45 miles an hour at times.
Chances for showers will persist late tonight before Thursday turns sunny and pleasant, forecasters say. Highs will be in the mid-70s, with north-northwest winds staying primarily in the single digits.
Friday will see slight chances for showers and thunderstorms return in the afternoon and persist for the next several days, forecasters say. The weekend will see cooler temperatures settle in for a while, with highs only in low to mid-60s.
